About Kate MacCallum
Kate's destiny was cemented at the malleable age of five when Santa gave her a blue Fisher Price film camera that changed everything. Captivated with the novel ability to capture the moments happening around her, Kate quickly produced a large body of original work. Early photographic subjects included her father's office carpet, Malibu Barbie, and neighbors' dogs.
Years later, armed with a Bachelor's degree from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, Kate began to put her creative energies to work as an entrepreneur in Eastern NC. Already familiar with the world of real estate as a child of two brokers, she began photographing listings for local real estate agents. As her expertise grew, so did the genres of photography Kate worked within, expanding to include portraiture, documentary photography, and video.
In her spare time Kate enjoys capturing hilarious candid photos of her loved ones, discovering fantastic new wines, fawning over other people's dogs, and getting lost in gripping novels.
