I was born in Newport News and have lived here all my life except 4 years at Roanoke College. For 25 years, I owned a hardware and building supply company. We dealt with hundreds of builders, homeowners and realtors. That experience taught me a lot about selling, evaluating competition, building relationships, problem solving, negotiating and closing complicated deals. This has been very valuable to me in my real state career.
After selling that business in 2003, I flipped houses, and built and sold houses for about 5 years before starting full time in real estate in 2009. It's been very rewarding helping people buy and sell some of their most valuable assets and dream homes. I've been blessed with much success. I work in partnership with Emmy Walls, who is also from the peninsula. Emmy is "of a younger generation" than me, so together we combine her skills and and views, with mine, making us a stronger team with better insight and understanding of the needs of our clients.
