Hi, I'm Jen, your local peninsula enthusiast! I was born and raised in Yorktown, Virginia and I love the area. We are so lucky to have the ocean, rivers, the world's most beautiful theme park, a rich history of America's origin, and so much more, right at our fingertips.
Growing up near the water gave me a passion for swimming. Before I could work, I volunteered for my local swim team (Go Running Manta Rays!). As a teen and college student, I worked as a lifeguard, swim instructor, and assistant swim coach. After graduating from Thomas Nelson Community College, I married my childhood friend, Mike.
As a young girl, my mom was a real estate agent. My sister and I would frequently tag along with my mom as she worked. When my mom would ask what we wanted to do on the weekends, I would request to walk through new construction sites while they were in progress. As a young adult, I dabbled with the idea of teaching, but as it turns out, it wasn't for me. I found a love of sales while selling fragrances at the local PXs and working at our family-owned wine shop.
Even though I loved sales, I wanted something more meaningful. I went back to my roots in real estate, and serving others and decided that finding people a home to love, was the career I had always dreamed of. Helping people find a place that they love, invest in their future, and navigate the most important purchase of their lives, made going to work every day worthwhile.
During my time as a Realtor, I have helped a wide range of people: first-time buyers, high-end listings, financially struggling sellers, out-of-state (sight unseen) buyers, military buyers and sellers, elderly buyers, and more. I won't shy away from a challenge. Problem-solving is something that excites me. It is very fulfilling to tell people I have a solution to something that has been troubling them.
When I am not working, I love to spend time with my family, go to Busch Gardens, spend a day on the boat, and eat at local restaurants. I also love to shop for home décor at some of my favorite small businesses, the Lazy Daisy & Design and Consign. After a long day, I like to snuggle on the couch with my kids and my rescue dog, Cookie.
I'm never too busy to make time for new clients. I can’t wait to help each and every one of my clients find a home that they truly love. Let's grab lunch and I can tell you about what the VA peninsula has to offer!
I love Williamsburg because
