Hanover, VA
Hanover is on the north side of Richmond, conveniently located to I 95 and I 295 and historic Rt. 1. Hanover is a beautiful county with rural areas as well as many suburban neighborhoods and areas including Mechanicsville, and the town of Ashland, known to many as the Center of the Universe for its central location within the state. Ashland is only 90 minutes from Washington D.C. and Williamsburg.
This area offers a slower pace and is home to many family friendly neighborhoods, top ranked schools, and smaller shopping centers. Known for their famous “Hanover tomatoes,†you will find farmer’s markets and roadside stands, and enjoy the annual Hanover Tomato Festival. You can also find friendly farms open to the public for picking your own produce and fall festivities.
Hanover has a rich history being the birthplace of revolutionary figures, home to Civil War battlefields, the famous Ashland Train Station, and Randolph-Macon College.
