I was born and raised in Richmond, Virginia, and attended Radford University, where I met my husband. After graduation, he went from the enlisted reserves to Officer Candidate School, where he became an Officer in the United States Marine Corps, and our adventure in life began! Over his 22 years of service, we raised three beautiful daughters (and now have a granddaughter!) and moved 15 times, including two overseas moves. We were fortunate to call Hawaii and Japan (twice!) home, and our time in Japan gave us the chance to explore much of Asia. Embracing other cultures shaped who I am. It taught me to listen closely, adapt quickly, and value the relationships that make any place feel like home.
Military life also taught me resilience. My husband deployed many times, including three combat deployments to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. I know firsthand the sleepless nights, the weight of holding down the fort alone, and the constant upheaval of PCS moves. I will never take for granted the sacrifices our service members and their families make and I am forever grateful.
Advocacy has always been at the heart of my work. In Japan, I taught kindergarten in the Department of Defense schools and founded a non-profit serving survivors of military sexual assault, all while earning my Master's Degree in Criminal Justice and Legal Studies. After returning to the States, I worked in Victim Services in Orange, Virginia, and went on to serve as Director of Victim Services at the Virginia Office of the Attorney General. Today, I am pursuing a Doctorate in Community Counseling and Traumatology.
When my husband retired from the Marine Corps, I finally pursued a dream that years of military moves had put on hold: Real Estate! With 15 military moves behind me, I know how stressful buying, selling, and relocating can be, and how much it matters to have someone in your corner. My career has been built on standing up for people during some of the hardest and most important moments of their lives. Now, I bring that same dedication, determination, and fierce advocacy to helping you find your next home while making the process smooth, stress-free, and exciting!
