They gave me so much confidence in their preparations and search for a Williamsburg home for me. Courtney and Angela are accessible, experienced, responsive, great listeners and easy to talk with. This team was attentive to detail while also patiently answering my questions and concerns and while working with the seller’s agent and title company. Keenly aware of the Williamsburg market, they devoted time to keeping me abreast of market trends from our very first discussions. I was focused on the Colonial Heritage (CH) area, and they helped me understand the market in CH and the possibility that not many homes that fit my criteria might come on the market within my timeline. Since I originally thought I wouldn’t relocate from Austin for a year and a half, I felt I’d be able to get my Austin home on the market and sold and find a Williamsburg home in that order. During this time, the team shared listings as they came on the market and we talked by phone about the area, different layouts and listing and sale prices. The information they were sharing - and lots of quiet thinking about what I REALLY needed - made clear that I shouldn’t postpone actively looking for a home in Williamsburg and get my Austin home ready for that market. In the event I found a Williamsburg home and needed to close on that before my Austin home sold, I asked Courtney to share the names of several mortgage lenders and she suggested I get pre-approved should that be needed to fit any short-term financing needs. Since I was still in Austin and couldn’t come back to Williamsburg for more showings, they sent a regular stream of listings to me. Quite unexpectedly, we found a home I wanted to buy and knew we had to move quickly. They quickly scheduled two, very thorough, remote showings and pointed out important things about the property I needed to see. Courtney’s negotiations with the seller’s agent yielded a fair selling price and better than expected closing date. Our final offer was quickly accepted, heightening the need for a timely sale of my Austin home. Because, with Courtney's help, I had already found the perfect lender who helped me with just the right loan to cover the brief time between buying and selling, everything came together for me to move just a week after closing on my Austin house. The creative, logical and informed ideas, extensive experience and resources and realistic outlook that Courtney and Angela brought to our discussions was so helpful. We worked so harmoniously together. They were always friendly and very responsive and, more than all that, their planning, thinking and expectation of a good outcome - whatever that would be - made me fully trust them throughout the buying process.
