My parents are retired, in their 70s, and were seeking to leave their home of over 40 years in New York to come to Virginia. So much has changed with the home buying/selling process in 40 years. Needless to say it could have been a difficult experience for my parents.
Tabitha set them up with listings remotely and communicated with them regularly. She even found them a great realtor in NY to handle the listing and sale of their home. My parents really required a lot of attention during this process. Tabitha was always responsive and never left them waiting for answers. There are a lot of emotions involved with leaving your home of over four decades and I feel that Tabitha was very much aware of that and sensitive to it.
As their son I'm biased, but I think that my folks can be a lot to deal with when it comes to high stress situations. Tabitha handled them expertly. If something upset them or caught them off guard about the process, she immediately provided the appropriate information to put them at ease.
When it was all said and done, my parents bought a new home in Virginia and sold their home in New York within a period of 72 hours. They had a a better experience than I ever could have hoped for and Tabitha was a huge help to me personally as I was assisting them with the process. I'm beyond pleased and impressed. Diane really worked hard to sell this condo. There was a potential buyer from Canada (later we learned he also lived in Norfolk) that she spent much time and effort with to try and arrange a sale which did not occur and this buyer kept bothering her about "his really good offer" and "why won't they sell", etc. Her skill in dealing with difficult potential buyers is just one of her many talents. It is just a pleasure to work with Diane. Selling a condo in Kingsmill is complicated. I imagine that some agents would not wish to list that type of property. Diane is very familiar with the additional steps needed to accomplish this sale (KCSA requirements, Kingsmill and KCSA and Padgett's COA packets, etc.) and all of this was done without complications. And she was especially dedicated in helping to finally get us to a closing date when there were multiple unnecessary delays by the buyer's mortgage agent.
