Lisa and her family moved to Williamsburg in 2004 to be near family. Lisa has 2 sons, 2 stepsons and 2 grandsons. Her three sisters and their families, including Mom and Dad, also live in Williamsburg. "l'll never forget my first trip to Williamsburg. it was a late evening in February, we had spent a considerable amount of time lost on I-199 before arriving in Colonial Williamsburg, DOG Street was empty, but the shops and trees were lit up and it looked like something out of a movie set. It was absolutely beautiful!" She fell in love with Williamsburg immediately. Lisa was born and raised in Jamestown, New York, a snowy western blue collar town, and home to Lucille Ball and the 10,000 maniacs. She graduated from the State University of New York (SUNY) College with a degree in Geology and worked for environmental companies in New York, Pennsylvania and Alabama over the years. After moving to Williamsburg in 2004 she secured her teaching degree and taught High school in Richmond. In 2014 Lisa transitioned over to Real Estate. Why Real Estate? "I love the area and all it has to offer and I love that it puts me in touch with people. I've always liked working with people and helping them solve problems - it gives me a sense of fulfillment." Lisa's life has taken many twist and turns but one thing remains, she loves to teach and help others. Lisa spends her free time cycling, running and exploring the incredible outdoors of Virginia from the mountains, beaches, music venues, wineries and biking trails. One of her greatest joys is working with animals. As an Animal Rescue Volunteer with the Humane Society of the United States, she responds to emergencies all over the country, rescuing animals from puppy mills, dog fighting, animal hoarding and natural disasters.
