I never dreamed I would be a real estate agent – or living in Williamsburg, for that matter. But, here I am and I am having a blast!
I went to work with Bell Laboratories fresh out of high-school. Through a lot of grit, determination, and risk-taking, I had many exciting positions in sales and marketing in a career of more than 35 years. Over the years, there were many memorable projects and work environments. AT&T WorldNet was electrifying – we were launching one of the first internet access services and had to put infrastructure in place to add content and sell advertising on the WorldNet web pages. Being on the integration team when SBC purchased AT&T and when AT&T purchased Bell South gave me an opportunity to create from scratch an integrated sales training program and supporting sales incentives. I am extremely grateful to AT&T for so many opportunities and for giving me both the inspiration and financial support to attain my Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degrees as an adult.
When I finally retired from AT&T in 2009, I was in an ideal position to help people and give back to the community, so I spent my time volunteering. The First Tee was my absolute favorite – working with kids, being outside, and teaching both golf and life lessons was invigorating. Working at the Community Theatre in Morristown, NJ, was also a favorite and fun volunteer position. When it became apparent that my husband was to retire and we were going to sell our home in Morris County, NJ, I thought it would be a smart business decision to get my real estate license. Little did I know it was the start of a new career and a completely different direction.
I love this business. It gives me opportunities to meet all ages and types of people -- active military, retired professionals, ex pats, law enforcement officers, reinactors, yogis, educators – and cherish the friendships that have developed. And, I have learned something from them all. I also appreciate the fact that I can leverage my marketing experience, tenacity, and organizational strengths selling real estate.
Selling or buying a home is one of the biggest financial decisions people make in their lives and every real estate transaction is as unique as the individuals involved. If you are thinking of selling your home, you couldn’t ask for a more effective agent who is completely vested in your success. If you are thinking about moving to Williamsburg, it would be my pleasure to guide you through the process and share what I love about my new community and all it has to offer
Let me put my passion for results, background, and experience to work for you!
