Hi, I'm Alison! I was raised in Yorktown and attended George Mason University, where I obtained a B.S. in Marketing and Event Management/Tourism. After graduation and marrying my high school sweetheart, Josh, we relocated back here to Coastal Virginia to begin our lives together. In 2021, we welcomed our son Benjamin after battling 7 years of infertility.
Josh and I bought our first home in 2013(a fixer-upper Cape Cod in Hidenwood with plenty of wood paneling)and that experience lit my heart on fire for real estate. I loved the entire process: checking out listings, negotiations, picking my agent's brain about every possible outcome, and most importantly, turning the key to our new home at the end of the process. I'll never forget the rainy weather on our closing day, how musty and dusty the house was from being vacant, and even though we had no toilet paper, we finally had a place to call our own. That feeling...is amazing, y'all. I look forward to having the opportunity to help you have a similar feeling of your own.
I am no stranger to helping guide my clients through huge, life-changing decisions, having spent 10 years in the wedding and event industry before entering the real estate world in 2016. I thrive on the joy of witnessing a client seeing everything they've wanted come to fruition, building relationships, and delighting people with above-and-beyond service.
April of 2024 marked a big transition in my life - the loss of my mother, Lisa, navigating the probate process as her executor, and the beginning of a new chapter in my business.Ilearned first-hand how difficult it can be to navigate the probate process while grieving and created a Legacy Package to help support clients through through the work that needs to be done to settle an estate while honoring their feelings and grief.
When I am not helping clients find their happy place or navigating the probate process, I can be found enjoying a good Sunday brunch, doting on my rescue pup Ulysses, belting out lyrics from Hamilton, or exploring the Peninsula with Ben. I am a loyal Green Bay Packers fan (thanks to her family's Wisconsin roots -Go Pack Go!), have a soft spot for a bold yellow front door, and I believe beautiful vintage wallpaper should always be saved, not stripped.
Whether you're looking for a move-in-ready gem, selling an inherited property or a wood-paneled wonder of your own, I would love to help you find your place to call home.
