Gerald and Taryn are both originally from New Jersey and met on a blind date while attending Rutgers University.
Gerald grew up playing baseball and working for his father who was building custom homes. His father was not good at swinging a hammer, so raised Gerald to be schooled in all aspects of home construction to gain a better understanding of how homes were constructed from the ground up! Gerald's parents moved to Virginia in 1999 and continued building Luxury custom homes in the Williamsburg area, specifically Ford's Colony. As the family business expanded, Gerald's parents wanted him to join the family business, so he moved down to Williamsburg in 2005 as the 4th generation home builder.
Taryn grew up with a passion for dance and Ballet. After graduating from Rutgers University with a Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science, she had the opportunity to dance for the New Jersey Nets basketball team. During that time, Taryn realized Real Estate was her true calling, so she obtained her real estate license. Managing Real Estate and dance all at the same time...talk about a busy schedule!
As Gerald and Taryn's relationship grew stronger, Taryn decided to move to Virginia in 2006, where she worked as the Fitness & Lifestyle Director for Colonial Heritage 55+ Active Adult community. This position oversaw all the groups, clubs and activities for the residents of the community. From card groups to mah-jongg to dinner dances! She loved interacting with the residents on a day-to-day basis and really developed some great relationships. Taryn used her professional dance experience to help teach Williamsburg's youth, jazz, tap, hip-hop and ballet, before finally coming back to her true calling of real estate!
In 2018, Gerald and Taryn traded in their subdivision lifestyle for a taste of country living in beautiful New Kent County. Together, they have 3 children, 3 dogs, chickens and a rabbit! Coaching, travel sports, retriever competitions, hunting and fishing keep their family actively engaged in the community.
Gerald and Taryn have been through almost every avenue when it comes to Real Estate which makes them the entire package! From being a first-time home buyer, making their own necessary improvements and renovations, purchasing land and building from the ground up. They each have their own unique areas of expertise within the buying and selling process that allow them to provide their clients the most experienced and well-rounded service.
