Find a Home Sell My Home What's My Home Worth?

About Joey Morang

If you were like me when you were 21, you probably made a lot of mistakes and got a lot of things wrong. One thing I got right at that age, though, was buying my first house. I didn’t know then that achievement would be a premonition for me becoming a realtor, but I think it’s for the best because the experiences I gained along the way have undoubtedly shaped me into the agent I am today.

I worked for many years in food service management. This coupled with my upbringing in the small town of Davie County, North Carolina instilled in me a strong passion for customer service and fostering sincere connections with the people I encounter. Knowing I wanted to pursue a career that allowed me to thrive in relationship building, I moved to Montgomery, AL for two years and worked as a salesman at Marlin Ingram RV Center. I loved getting to know my customers and helping them find their dream home, even if it was one on wheels. That sense of fulfillment that came with connecting with people and helping them through such a significant life decision guided me back to Richmond to pursue real estate in the city I had grown to call home.

When I’m not working you can find me cheering on a plethora of sports teams, both local and abroad. My favorite sport is soccer, and you’re just as likely to find me at a Richmond Kickers match as you are to find me at Penny Lane Pub cheering on Chelsea Football Club (Up the Blues!) My wife and I love cheering on the Spiders at her alma mater, the University of Richmond, and we can’t go a summer without a couple trips to the Diamond to watch our Flying Squirrels and eat a couple ballpark hot dogs and squirrely fries. When I need to relax my backyard is my happy place. I can spend countless hours in my hammock with a good book in hand (something by Vonnegut is always good, but lately it’s been a lot of sci-fi/historical fiction), my bird feeders full, and my two dogs sunbathing by my side.  When I need to get away you can find me (or not if I’m doing it right) somewhere near the mountains either hiking, camping, or fishing, and just enjoying the peace and quiet of the outdoors.

Even though I’ve lived in a few different states, RVA is home to me, and connecting with you while helping you buy or sell your home in this city is a privilege I would love to have.
