Born and raised in Hampton, VA, I have the knowledge that can only be obtained from living and working in a community for years. I am a married mother of three girls. My oldest daughter has attended the same elementary, middle, and now high school, as myself. Believe it or not, some of the same teachers were still there! Otherwise I would run into teachers that went to high school with me. Talk about making you feel old!

Seriously, that is the great thing about this area. Eventhough the majority of our population comes and goes because of the high military concentration (which helps to keep our real estate market strong compared to other areas of the country) we are able to maintain a small, hometown feel!

A full time licensed real estate salesperon since 2002, I have successfully negotiated over 140 transactions. Despite the market downturns, I have been able to maintain a career average list to sales price ratio of 98.64% and an average just 57 days on market! I began my career as an assistant for a successful real estate team, and then branched out on my own as an agent with Coldwell Banker Professional, REALTORS in 2004. I received many accolades during my time at their Hampton office, including awards with the Virginia Peninsula Association of REALTORS and Coldwell Banker's International Diamond Society. In February of 2009, I transferred to Liz Moore & Associates Oyster Point office to further my career. I love living on the Virginia Peninsula, especially Williamsburg, where I’ve been a resident since 1986 and spent most of my career. This is a beautiful, diverse area, where one can find just about anything – great shopping; lots of water to play in (my husband, Joe, and I love to kayak); incredible cultural activities such as concerts, museums, and art galleries; and pristine rural areas with parks that have plenty of space. Space is important when we want to get away for a long bike ride or a place to run wild with our Golden Retrievers –Liberty “Libby”. I’m also a very proud military wife. Joe and I met locally and have been married for 15 years. Being part of the military community truly helps me to understand the challenges of military life and the sacrifices military families make for their country.

My previous work experience includes serving as an administrator for a college financial aid office and a college business office as well as working for non-profit companies where my focus was in student loan sales and marketing. One of the most important activities of military life is training. One of the reasons the American Military is the best in the world is because they are the best trained military in the world. My career began in 1993 after an 8-year employment as a legal assistant. My responsibilities were varied, but my focus at the law firm was loan closings and property transfers.
A great man and mentor, Brian Twiddy, gave me my start in real estate. His ethics base, integrity, and love for our business and clients were contagious. He was a source of great knowledge until his premature death in 1995, and is an inspiration to me to this day. I will always owe gratitude to him for showing the way to be a great Realtor.
For the first 10 years of my real estate life, new home sales and construction was my specialty. In a previous life, Judy was a Registered Nurse with a variety of impressive accomplishments on her resume: from ICU and teaching, psychiatric and private duty home care and public health nurse. From there, Judy ascended to various management roles, and developed community programs, was responsible for marketing and public relations, and successfully negotiating with HMO’s.

Married to Bob (President of Milestone Custom Homes) for 42 years, the Schwartz’s have 2 sons, Steve and Adam, both married and 2 grand-children, Jessica & Abigail. Judy and Bob presently live in Brickshire with 2 adopted shelter cats, Mellow Yellow (Mel) and Gwennie.
